It’s years since I’ve been but the spa at sherwood was amazing. I booked a massage and the spent the entire morning in there trying all the various rooms. I don’t know how that works with covid but it was a really treat.

Thanks for everyone’s advice. We ended up booking Elveden as it was £200 cheaper than sherwood and only an extra 30 mins drive for us. I’m assuming it’s to do with half term dates being different?

The boys have booked golf so far, but want to do some fishing too. We were hoping that If they buy the permit they could fish anytime, but In the book activities app, It gives me the option to select a time for fishing, so I’m assuming they can only fish once and for a limited time? I’m assuming if they want to fish twice we would have to pay for the permit twice too? If anyone can enlighten me on how the fishing works?

We have booked our two swimming sessions, as the times were already limited. I’m also hoping to book into the spa and crazy golf when we are there too. My daughter wanted to do rock climbing but I can’t see that available to book, so I’m wandering if it’s been removed for the time being.

Thanks again and if anyone knows how the fishing works, please let me know.

We are currently at CP Longleat (as opposed to Port Orleans), so far I have been very impressed. It was a little frustrating only being able to book two 2 hour slots swimming (but was just about long enough for a session). We managed to book most of the activities we wanted (though the cost certainly adds up).

The girls have certainly enjoyed being in the woods, and doing a lot of cycling. I have a feeling we certainly be back in the future.

We love elveden, especially villas that back onto water, so much wildlife to see! I would call them in regard to the fishing, and just ask. Have a lovely time.

We were at longleat and my son and niece both did climbing so it was definitely available. The only thing that wasn’t available that we wanted was the spa unless we wanted to do it without steam rooms/saunas etc and my niece had wanted to book canoe capers and that wasn’t running at all. DS did the aerial adventure and he and DH did the quad bikes and my niece, sister and I did pottery painting. My son and nephew played badminton and pool football, we hired an electric bike and played golf as well as our 2 swim sessions so it was pretty full on!
