Outdoor security light and camera

Good Morning Dibbers!

Does anyone have either one of these?

Our outdoor security light is broken and needs replacing so DH is now looking at ones with a camera. We do have a separate camera but the quality is not great. It’s glitchy. One minute a person is there- the next they’ve vanished as if by magic.

The Ring is more expensive but it’s a brand I recognise. Would I just be paying the extra money just for the name?

I know I need subscription to view recordings.👍🏻

Any alternate suggestions would be welcomed.

Thank you 🤗

We have the ring, it’s very good and works very well as part of the bigger ring system we’ve set up.

We also have the ring alarm and the sirens on the floodlight now integrates with it which is really useful.

I don’t think you have to have the subscription, it’s only if you want to keep the recording. We have it as we have multiple products but maybe look into it to see if necessary.

Haven't got the floodlit cam but have got the ring doorbell cam and works brilliantly, well worth the money in my opinion (the only slightly negative comment i would have is the battery doesn't last quite as long as I would like but very easy to recharge )
Personally I would go with the ring one, you would also be able to add a doorbell etc at a later stage if helpful
