Xmas Day options

We’ve been lucky enough to be there for Xmas day a few times.

We get to MK earlyish, with FPs booked for mid morning, a lunch as far as possible from the U.K. Xmas dinner (over the years that’s varied) then pool or chill time, then a lovely meal somewhere and cocktails to finish the day (The Wave a few times because we were staying at BLT).

Our first trip we spent the day at MK and had lunch at Jungle Skipper Canteen. Food was awesome and we planned our FP’s well. Last year we had a chilled out morning at the hotel (DS swam in the pool) followed by lunch at House of Blues in Disney Springs. We ended up having a late dinner at Denny’s (turkey dinner) which was delicious and a perfect end to the day. We love Christmas in Orlando.

Last Xmas we spent the day in DC then had Chinese takeout at the villa

We got lots of Seafood and seasoned rice .

We were staying at Caribbean beach & went to magic kingdom Xmas day last year - we made a reservation for the liberty inn for Xmas lunch / it was the nearest we could get to eating turkey on Xmas day, it was delish

As others have said most things are still open so there is lot's of choice for things to do and places to eat on Christmas Day. MK is a favourite but you have to be there at opening and it is super super busy. We eat Christmas dinner out in a restaurant, as I never cook large meals in our villa, it's a holiday after all!

Have spent a few Christmas’s in Florida. The oddest experience was going to watch the Magic Christmas afternoon as it is definitely not something you can do, go to a sports event, Christmas Day in the UK. We all had a great time though.
