Think it’s stupid asking people in there 40s for ID when my m8 had his 16 and 12 year old daughters and his wife so it was clearly he was over 21 years old.

But it's the law, and you have to abide by it. Personally, i carry my passport in my bag, along with my wallet and mine and the wifes medication. Not that i get ID'd that much anymore.

It isn’t the law. You do not have to carry ID generally in the US and premises selling alcohol are not legally obliged to check ID.

They may choose to check because it is illegal to sell to somebody underage and they don’t want to get into trouble and they may refuse service to somebody that does not have ID. But it certainly isn’t the law that a person must carry ID or that a seller of alcohol must request it.

Drivers license and copy of passport. But we’ve never been asked for the copy of the passport.

I carry my non-USA driving licence, and have a photograph of my passport photo page on my phone.

Had a random conversation with an Epcot Germany CM once where she remarked that, being from Germany, she was more familiar with the UK/EU driving licences than the USA ones (which are different for each state I believe). But because of Disney policy she still had to check the copy of passport for people with UK/EU driving licences!
