I'm in tier 4. Big Tesco on the edge of town was rammed (according to my friend who lives near there - she said there were long queues to get in there) but Tesco in town itself you could walk into. All the shelves were pretty much full, although potatoes were looking a bit thin on the ground.
I've picked up everything for the two of us now as the dates were long enough to take us past Christmas day. I might go and get a few more 'bits' (need wine for example!) over the next few days, but at least I know Christmas dinner is sorted.

Thanks guys, we get our food in Sainsburys, can’t afford a turkey crown from M&S or Waitrose! We will head there and there’s always a chicken or a leg of lamb and I have a gammon joint. I would more upset without parsnips, I have to have parsnips and stuffing with Christmas lunch

Went shopping today with Dh and Aldi had absolutely no chicken, chicken pieces of any kind, mince, beef joints and only a couple of turkey crowns plus all the other Christmassy bits were devastated. Tesco toilet roll section was empty. We are in Scotland and have been put into tier 4 having been in tier 1 so think everyone has been panic buying and probably those that were going away but no longer allowed to having to rush out and buy Xmas dinner.

Our Tesco Extra was fine - plenty of everything (been in tier 3 for the last 869 years).

I went to Morrisons today & got the small fresh turkey I wanted - plenty supplies. Have a click & collect for Tesco tomorrow night but should be fine even if not everything available.
Just wondering how much is due to the border closure and how much is due to trying to avoid Xmas crowds. |

I went to Tesco at around 1 and walked straight in. It was very busy inside but very well stocked and was piled high with fresh veg. Lots of turkeys, gammon etc and they had an offer on roast beef joints so I got one of those for New Year Day lunch. Plenty of loo rolls , I even maned to get the coconutty ones that make the bathrooms smell nice.
