I have family & friends in Gibraltar, they always fly to London and then onto Florida, i'm sure they've gone via Madrid with BA/Iberia before aswell. Theres a vlogger called The Stranger Couple, who live in Torrevieja who fly to Orlando too, so they might help give an idea too?

Just a random thought... would Madrid be a better option rather than London with Brexit and all that?

Not sure where you are in Spain but if you are using one of the major airports, you potentially have several options - either direct or via one of the other European hubs such as Frankfurt, Paris or Amsterdam. I would use something like Skyscanner to see what works out best price wise for you.

Alternatively, if you are near Madrid, I think Madrid to Miami may be a option with a quick hop up to MCO from there (or a longer drive).

yes, that what my thought we normally go to LGW onwards, but I am thinking another European hub might give me a wider choice of airlines

I cannot find any direct flights from Madrid or Seville most go via Miami might look at separate flights to hiob then the long haul

Our friends in Spain tend to go via Paris (CDG) to the US.

Not that many airlines fly transatlantic between Europe and Orlando.

Quick check on Wikipedia (may be outdated especially after 2020) has Aer Lingus (Dublin), BA (London), Edelweiss Air (Zurich), Lufthansa (Frankfurt), Virgin Atlantic (London, Manchester). Might be a couple of others I missed. So you could transit through those airports to get a transatlantic flight to Orlando.

That being said, you can always fly to a hub in the USA and then transit from there to Orlando? Any of the American airlines should be able to have a route from Spain via one of their hubs to Orlando.

Just seen flights advertised to Miami with BA but operated by AA from Madrid and Barcelona.

Madrid to Miami is often much cheaper than Heathrow
