I've never had a bad experience at HBD - I think we have been maybe 4 or 5 times. It's usually our Fantasmic dining package choice. The service has usually been excellent except the first time when they did the bringing out the mains when you take your first bite of the starter. A quick word with the server and it was sorted straight away and now we always flag up that we want a decent gap between courses. Some of the fish dishes are excellent as are the steaks. The only thing I hate there is the grapefruit cake - yuk!
The cobb salad is fab. In fact I could happily eat one right now. Last year we tried the outdoor lounge area for the first time - I really recommend it. It was a nice way to escape the heat and the crowds at lunchtime and the small plates were delicious. They regularly change up the menu. It isn't on the dining plan though so bear that in mind. No need for an ADR just turn up - I've never seen it overly busy.

Sorry you feel some posts are negative. However we are all entitled to opinions the last time I checked the Dibb rules!
I stand by my assertion that the salad looks decidedly poor albeit I will accept others views that it is lovely. To me presentation is the key to a dish.I feel it looks dreadful with the sauce lumped all over it. But I apologise for daring to post what I feel and having the impudence to express that view. I wont bother again.

The cobb salad is served with all the separate ingredients laid out neatly and then the server mixes it at the table, including the dressing. That is how it was done originally at the restaurant where it was invented. So yes, it looks a bit messy once this is done.
Nothing wrong with posting pictures of it, and nothing wrong with having an opinion on it, either positive or negative. No-one has criticised the OP. As you were, folks! (Oh, and the grapefruit cake is gorgeous and I still have the hat-shaped recipe card they give you. But my hubby hates it, so there you go. Two opinions for the price of one!)

Hi - bit of a long shot, but does anybody have a copy/photo of the Brown Derby Menu from (at the time) Disney MGM Studios Orlando from 2000?
I remember having a main/entreé there of Pan Seared Tuna with Three Cucumber salad. |
