Alamo confirmation

I booked via Alamo Brits last night but I haven’t received a confirmation email or any acknowledgment of the booking. I did screenshot the confirmation number as soon as the booking when through. Anyone else have this happen?

I usually book Alamo through Andy at DFCH but have in the past used Brits.

Is your confirmation ten digits (all numbers) starting maybe 128xxxxxxx or 129 etc.?

Try doing OLCI through this form and get the bar code confirmation.

I find the Brits E Mail comes in within 2 minutes max. Have you checked your junk folder?

Yes, checked junk. I always use them & never waited this long. I’ll send them an email I think.

Yes it is. If I do OLCI now can I still amend later if the price drops? Thanks.

You can amend at any time. But my view is dont do OLCI etc until circa a week before you go. Very little chance then of the price dropping.

Alamo went through a phase maybe 2 years ago when E Mails just never came through. I never bothered chasing it up and instead monitored it via the Ref No I had done a screen shot of.

Thanks both. Managed to access it with the ref number. Very odd not to have an email though. Now to monitor & hope for a price drop!

to be more specific, you don't amend a Brits booking
Their amendment process is essentially a cancellation & rebooking
OP if you amend, they will bill your CC for the total amount of the new reservation, and refund the total amount of the previous reservation, and that's what amending really is about

this also means that your confirmation number will change when you "amend" and you'll need to do OLCI again with the new number

so as Mr Tom advised, wait until the last week to do OLCI

as long as you've logged in on the US alamo website with your number and name, and checked the booking was there, you're fine . just have the confirmation number in a safe place.
