New Harry Potter coaster @ universal

my daughter found some vids last night of the progress and a few educated guesses at the actual ride track/layout

looking impressive... seems to be mostly outdoors so not much in the way of screen time

spoilers if you watch the vid

This attraction is turning out to be far more interesting than we might have imagined.

Also an interesting contrast to Slinky Dog Dash which seems relatively simple compared to this new Potter coaster.

Looks great so far! Any idea of when this is likely to open? Had a quick google but didn't find much info ...

Universal have closed the best coaster at their parks to build this so I would hope the new attraction is better than their recent efforts (Kong, Fast&Furiois, Jimmy Fallon)

Yeah I was sorry to see Dragon Challenge go. It's been a favourite of ours for a very long time (Fire at least, not too keen on Ice).

Have done F&F in Hollywood and quite enjoyed it but not marvellous. Fallon was rubbish and Kong was okay but my party were split on it.

Hulk I don't like and Rip Ride I'm now bored with. Mummy is good though.

They need something physical, not simulated, that rivals the likes of Mako imo, but of course this is a family coaster so...

It looks amazing, but too 'extreme' for me (I'm a wimp!) - I adore Harry Potter though so maybe I'm just going to have to suck it up!

Wow this looks so good! Loved the drop bit on Thirteen the first time I rode it so to have it used in a HP coaster will be fab along with all the HP theme! Cannot wait!

From what I've seen they seem to be building a hut like structure (maybe hagrids or newts hut) and another building for the free fall drop (13 ride element) over the track they have built.

(reason I mention newt is, early rumors were that this would be a fantastic beasts ride. makes alot of sense with it being called the wizarding world can include everything not harry potter that JK creates, universal have access to actors and sets while they are already filming (no need to CGI harry potter and co like they did for escape from gringots) and it will future proof themselves while the new films are being released)

Think of it like everest experdition, outdoor track with indoor elements (I imagine their will be screens or projections)

only going of youtube videos and fly past photos of construction. Strange theres been no annoucment or pre-visual artwork yet.
