What's your best value stay?
On the back of all the recent value for points discussions I was just pondering on what the best value stay you feel you've had out of your DVC ownership is?
For me I think it would have to be our stay in the Treehouse Villas in 2016, we managed just under 2 weeks in them and REALLY loved every minute of it, I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but totally suited us. We just loved waking up to the sound of frogs, the remote feel, the BBQ, the quiet pool which was almost always empty and had the most relaxing feel to it. We've been so lucky to have had years of amazing stays in many of the resorts but the THVs really were amazing DVC value and I really don't think we'd ever have stayed in them paying cash. Close second would be the year when we had a few 'cheapie' nights at OKW but then moved to a 1 bed lake view at BLT and finished the 3 week stay at Vero Beach 1 bed sea view for the first ever visit there (2012 I think). We'd never have had the WDW holidays we've had without DVC

Not stayed under DVC (9 days booked in Sep 19) yet but the flexibility of planning and pre payment has allowed us to sell 5 days at CC and use that money to pay for a 2 bed AirbnB in Washington for 4 nights, 1 night in Atlantic City and a car for 36hrs to drive to New York.

Perfect. I was a single mum back in 2005 so rented 2006 & 2007's points which paid for a 1 week holiday to Cyprus for me and the kids, spending money while we were in Australia for a couple of months and allowed me to save some money towards a planned return to WDW in 2008. It's that kind of flexibility that's made sure I never questioned my purchase.

All my stays have been great value but on a purely money saving point then it would probably be staying in a 1bed villa at Bay Lake tower over new year.
No idea what the cash price for that would have been but a lot more than my annual dues for sure! |

Our last trip was one of our best value wise...5 nights x two studios at PVB and 9 nights in a two bed at BCV. There were five of us, we would never have afforded that level of accommodation without our DVC points

I've had too many to pick just one
Christmas and New Year at BLT Last summer's trip staying at the Poly and then two ocean view Inn rooms at Vero followed by a 1 bed concierge at ALK Staying at BLT over 4th July and watching the fireworks from the ToTWL Any time I stay at the Beach Club I wouldn't have done any of this without DVC

Amazing, we need to try PVB, it's on the list, I'm hoping they'll be a studio at 7 months if we do make it out in November (which will only be if we DON'T go in January - very confusing and hard to plan!)
