Sorry I'm a bit late to this conversation, but thank you for all the kind comments.

Bahama Bay has got 4 pools and a kiddies pool/splash pad spread across around 72 acres, with a man-made beach on the lake front. (You can't swim in the lake as its a nature reserve, but you can walk out along the finishing dock.)

As has been said a car is preferable for ease of getting around, but you aren't far from anywhere - 15/20 mins to Disney and about 30-35 to universal. There are shops and restaurants in all directions many less than a 5 minute drive, plus we have Tradewinds bar and restaurant right in site for eat in or delivery.

Just clarify the Davenport vs Kissimmee question, BB is a couple of 100 yards from the Osceola County boundary. The Davenport address is irrelevant. If you stayed in the west 192 area of Kissimmee, BB is pretty much the same area.

I really don’t know how anybody couldn’t love it there TBH.

We have booked for our son’s GF to come with us this year and when I askd the question of whether to book a villa instead this year, I got a resounding ‘NO’ - the ‘boys’ just wanted to go back to BB.

Hi guys. Just reading through this as we are considering BB for a stay on April. Can anyone explain the resort to me? Are some of the apartments privately owned and some kie the ones being sold by Travel Republic ect) owned by the resort? Is there any benefit to booking directly with an owner?

We rented direct with the owner through Holiday Lettings, as I like to go direct to the owner, and I liked the look of the interior! I think we paid something like £700 for 11 nights in august 2016... I also wanted a high floor, which could be guaranteed by booking with the owner! It was a lovely condo!

Yes some are private and some available through packages like virgin etc.
We booked with Lisa ( whose post is earlier in the thread ) and she’s been beyond helpful so I can highly recommend her. She has also helped us with our previous bookings through virgin , which she really didn’t have to but I think it speaks volumes 😀
