BA and Aer Lingus are codeshare, so you could price up a 'through' ticket from LON to MCO via DUB and see what comes up.
If you can get to DUB the night before on a 'through' ticket and stay over for the flight to MCO the next day, that'd be another option.Premier Inn and Travelodge very close, cheap and have shuttles to airport.

You can price up on thecAer Lingus website, trends do the same on tge BA website. I’ve found Aer Lingus for the same codeshare flights to be cheaper.
The other option is Ryanair, but that’s not an airline I personally wouldn’t use, plus they have no reason to provide any otter flight if you arrive late into Dublin

Thank you all for taking the time to respond, it’s sounds like a very easy process. What questions do they ask when they take you to the security booth?
Do they need documentation of hotels, park tickets etc...? |

We did this for the first time last year, it is exactly as Iam describes.
We flew in from Manchester the day before, stayed at Premier Inn down the road. Came back in the morning. We did self check in, scan passports, weigh cases, print luggage labels. We were assisted by a vert helpful chap. Then you take the bags to the conveyor belts and scan the passport again for each bag and away they went. Usual security, but we felt like the tv screens tell you exactly which type of shoes you can leave on and which you must take off, what to do with your jackets, electronics etc. It was very spacious unlike Manchester. Pre-clearance is amazing. The booth is just an immigration officer who looks at your passport, takes a photo of you, finger prints any of the party over 14 years old, confirms where you are going, tells you that he is from Portland and there are many other lovely places in the US not just Florida And then you are through. We book into 51st and Green which is the only lounge after pre-clearance. Lots of videos on YouTube on it. If you don't book in there it feels just like a very wide corridor with a not so nice cafe and to be honest, not a lot of seating. The lounge is lovely, at the end of the runway so you can see planes, food and drink is plentiful, there are showers, nice toilets, comfy seating with charging ports. Dh is a 6'3" rugby build chap and always gets pulled to one side for either a scan, pat down or bag swab. He looks innocent so maybe they suspect he isn't. We are used to it now but don't worry if you do get chosen.
