Wait till they cancel ... I'm guessing Florida will still be on lockdown regarding UK tourists, I was reading theres roughly 2000 new cases per day atm.

Is this the return one?-if so we are the same.

They cancelled the outbound, so we were able to cancel with Air France who we'd booked the Virgin flights with.

From what I've been reading that's more down to Trudeau than Trump.

Exactly this, I have family who live in Toronto who have echoed this. I believe Trump wanted the borders open between them..

As many have said wait it out. They may be intending on flying but at the moment Orlando isn’t one of the designated airports so unless you were flying to Miami I don’t think they can fly. As already said with the US Canadian border closed I’m not sure they are in a hurry to open up to Europe

Anyhow to cancel our holiday due to go to POR on 22nd July it will apparently cost me over £5000!
She was determined the plane would be going and that it wouldn't make any difference if fco still had essential travel only.
Obviously I can't now cancel, so asked her to give me a quote for next year.
If I book hotel and tickets for disney with wduk, cabana bay with booking.com and universal tickets with attraction tickets.com then the difference between all this separately and as a package with virgin is £4023.36.
This seems an awful lot for the three of us for flights (one child).
What are my best options?
The contract is legally frustrated and the Law Reform (Frustrated Contracts) Act applies if FCO advice is still in place. Outrageous behaviours. Also you would probably have a claim under Package Travel Regs. You may have to go legal in small claims, but you’ll win if the FCO advice is in place. Speak to a good solicitor or Citizens Advice- tell them the above, it may save them time.

I thought that if a flight number is changed then it is basically no longer the holiday that you booked, so are able to cancel and request a refund. Our outbound was cancelled and no seats available on the earlier flight. Air France told us to contact them as one of our flights was cancelled, we then requested a refund.

Two options. Firstly just wait it out - they'll cancel, they're just trying to force you into a position where you are out of pocket. Secondly I would certainly now be contacting your insurer. Mine (Axa) have a very clear policy that they pay out on your losses that you can not reclaim elsewhere if the FCO advice is in place 31 days before departure.
