Donating blood/platelets

We are in ROI, we gave blood last night, have done sporadically over the years (often hemoglobin levels too low). The system is so much better now, everything was very efficient, appointment system, not too much waiting around and felt perfectly safe.

My recently turned 18 dd gave her first donation last night, I was quite proud of her

Added bonus: an old school pal who I hadn't seen in a long time was donating at the next station so we had a little catch up!

We're booked for December, interestingly around here there's quite a wait to give blood, we booked a few weeks ago, plenty of clinics running they're just booked up!

I do feel slightly bad as im AB blood so perfect plasma (majority of my donations has been plasma according to the website)

I did have a look and there was nothing local within a 10m radius. Ill check again towards Christmas
