NYC family hotel recommendations

Hi, we’re looking to go to NYC for a week next Oct with our 2 kids 12 & 10.

Our travel agent has recommended the Benjamin hotel. Has anyone stayed there before?

Any other family friendly hotels you can recommend?

Many thanks!

We use the Affinia hotels. The gardens is our preferred one. Large suites with kitchen and fridge etc easily sleep 4. Quiet pleasant location but easy acces to the subway.

We love being in the heart of the action as to us that’s what makes New York special, so whilst it doesn’t suit everyone, we like to stay near Times Square and our favourite we’ve stayed in is the Hilton Times Square - just love it there!

Another fan of Affinia hotels here. Huge suites for NYC and very family friendly.

We also had a suite at The Stuart hotel right by ESB and MSG

The New Yorker had some decent size suites too.

We stayed at The Beacon a few years ago with our 2 nephews. We had a 2 bed room which was really like an apartment. It was close to the Subway and right beside Central Park. I thought it was a great location.

We loved the Doubletree Suites Times Square, right in the heart of the action, large bedroom and living room, fridge, microwave, sink in the living area. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

Another vote for Hilton Times Square. The location is perfect on 42nd st, 1-2 min walk to the heart of TS/red steps/Disney Store. Situated right between 2 main subway lines. Nice spacious clean rooms and always felt safe with my teen/tween dd's.

Hilton Times Square for us... location, location, location and all that.

Reception is on the 25th and we were on 48.

Might be worth asking for a view to the South... Chrysler, Empire State, One World are all in view.

We have booked the Marquis in Times Square for April-not that I’m confident we’ll get there. Stayed at the Shelburne Affinia last December -twin room but very good size
