Price for May half-term - WOW

£3400 for 4 nights at Newport Bay with no meals included?! I know it's been getting pricier in recent years but WOW.

I wonder if the annual pass discount will actually be cheaper now!

I think a few of hotels onsite are closed (Disneyland hotel and Art of Marvel for two), many of the previous bookings were moved to NPB so it doesnt suprise me that the price will be high, they are probably close to capacity

Yikes, I would be looking at offsite. Our last trip cost £200 for 3 nights at the Ibis. Plenty of good places to eat nearby too.

However, I personally am not even considering France this side of summer. They are not managing things that well IMO.

Yes, I won't be going either - I was just looking wistfully

The restaurants we like to eat in cost so much money that it's usually cheaper to stay onsite with free dining rather than offsite with paying for tickets and food. We don't eat at the top-cost places but when you have 4 people eating at eg. Agrabah Cafe, it reaaaally mounts up. Obviously we could just do quick service the whole time but the food is such a big part of it for us and we'd hate to go and miss out on some of our favourite bits. It was much cheaper when the kids were under 9

I know what you mean. We like to spend our evenings over a leisurely meal in a quiet restaurant, so prefer the plus level dining.

That said, we discovered a real gem offsite last time - L’Interprete. Classic French bistro with excellent steaks. Also we have been to La Criee which is a great seafood place. And for a quick meal Alfred Burger was amazing. All within a 10 min walk of Val d’Europe station.

If I was going this year (which might be possible as our APs have been extended to July) I would stay at the Ibis for peanuts, and eat at some really nice offsite places.

Absolutely love L’Interprete; we ate there six or seven times in 2018/19 (annual pass, a few trips). We were just lucky as our first trip the hotel was almost opposite. We went in on our first night as we couldn’t be bothered to go too far, and LOVED it.

Also really like the creperie in the funny square nearby (Place de Toscane I think the square is called).

We loved ibis but it’s not showing any availability for our Jan 22 trip. It may be too early but if it’s really full are there any other good cheap hotels near it? Thanks

Haven’t stayed at the Residhome but it looks fine. Right by the Ibis.

We stayed at the Residhome in 2019 for 7 nights in a 1 bed apartment which had a small kitchen diner with a living room.

The location was excellent, right next to the back entrance of the train station and only a 5-10 min walk to the shopping centre.

Having the kitchen was great, we stocked up on croissants, coffee, cheese etc. at the Auchan for breakfasts in the apartment then headed out to Disney or Paris on the train.
