Mobile Virgin pre paid fuel

We returned on 30th October and made the mistake of not checking my contract and filled my SUV up with petrol when I should of returned empty, classic school boy error ! The employee in the garage pointed this out and sent me inside to see his manager and a refund was promised. 3 weeks later and no refund , do I need to chase or will I automatically receive the refund ?

I think you have to wave goodbye to it. Only Alamo could refund you and Virgin won't get involved.
This happens quite a lot and I have witnessed two huge rows in the garage where the renter has totally lost it even though they are in the wrong.
If you do get refunded then we'll done but I wouldn't hold your breath

how did you get return empty unless you asked and paid for it?

Just checking as I have booked through virgin and wondering mine will be same or not?

The 'higher' grade of Insurance cover gives extra drivers and return empty. Not good value actually.

is it cheaper to fuel before or how much more do they charge compared to a station outside?

Alamo charge about 2 cents a gallon more than the prices that are the average. They do put the airport user fee on top of the fuel so it's about $4 more than filling up near Disney for example.
Personally I can't be bothered to fill up myself and just drop it back with a few gallons in it.

Never fill up near the airport. Some of them charge $6 a gallon!

I always pay fuel upfront and return almost empty. At the fuel prices in Florida it's not worth clumping your platelets about! As my DW says.
