changeover time given as 55 mins - unrealistic?

Found a good price for DD and SIL next summer but the changeover time of 55 mins in Philadelphia sounds unrealistic - what do you think?

Is that why it's cheap, lol?!

Is that going out or coming back.

Coming back.

From info I've read, it sounds do-able, and it would be on a through ticket with American Airlines, so shouldn't be too much of a problem if the connection was missed.

I've told DD about it, so I'll see whether they bite!

Would their onward flight home be the last flight of the day?

It's not just a question of whether you can make the UK-bound flight in time, but whether your bags will too. Even if you have enough time to board (highly unlikely), it is not a given that your bags will. Or vice versa!

Not sure; I don't think so, but it's possible. But, if they missed that, they'd presumably be put up overnight before the next flight out the following day?

I'm impatiently waiting for DD to get back to me as soon as she's able to pick up my messages (she's in work at the moment)!

Good point! I've had that scenario myself, so I know it can happen, but had forgotten about it.

We did it last year, ba Las Vegas to Dallas, at exit someone was standing directing us to next flight, which we made with 15 mins to spare but luggage never but it was delivered the next day to house

We did it returning in June this year, we also had 55 minutes in Philadelphia. Everything went well, we landed 15 minutes early and we had the luxury of relaxing at the gate for 20 minutes before our flight.
