Thomas Cook cabin bags

We are travelling with Thomas Cook light with no hold luggage, does anyone know if we can take a small backpack along with a cabin sized suitcase, we want to carry our I pads in the backpack to save opening a case on the plane.

We flew back with them as an emergency on Weds for a funeral.

Their website says 'small Ladies handbag'

My Wife was concerned they would refuse hers as it's large.

I said I love a battle and she should declare she is a small Lady even though her handbag is large.

The policy writers messed up on that bit.
