Showing as delayed 25 hours 30 mins. Wow that's going to cost!

We came back on the same flight on the 16/12 and were 5 hours delayed. The captain said it was due to bad weather on the New York return flight which had a knock on effect. We tried to claim from Thomas Cook but they refused the claim because it was bad weather, but the weather in Manchester and Orlando were both ok. It’s seems they are trying to operate transatlantic flights without a back up plane. I am not going to give up on our claim and will take it to the small claims court😡😡

Well done, I do like to see tenacity. Best of luck.

If it’s down to things outside their control (like severe weather) then they are unlikely to pay out, which although very frustrating is understandable as a business and is in their T&Cs, but no harm in trying.

Does this plane only do UK to Orlando and back? As if it’s coming from elsewhere in the US they’re having some rough weather in the US at the mo which is causing havoc.
