i think that's rather expensive have you looked at the cost if you rented dvc points for your stay ?

we have stayed at blt in a 2 bed villa for 2 nights this way and we're staying at ssr in a 2 bed ( we did think about a treehouse at ssr but it wasn't quite us) and it was nowhere nr the $2k price you mentioned, you can book one of the shorter 3/4 night disney cruises for this amount and this is with all food included so i definitely wouldn't pay that for 2 nights in a room only no matter which resort

Cash prices for the deluxe resorts are high, as pointed out renting DVC points is a more cost effective way to stay at the high end resorts. 2 nights would give you much more scope to enjoy all the resort has to offer, a one night stay doesn't give you a lot of time there with a late afternoon check in and morning check out. Staying onsite has a magic all of it's own and I'm sure you will love it.
