Hawaii tips

Anyone done the Pride of America cruise to the Hawiian Islands? We would be glad of any tips about the cruise or recommended excursions. It’s a Ruby wedding and 70th birthdays celebration so would like to make it special.

We flew to Hawaii via Las Vegas, ( long flight but we preferred to get there in one go) spent 6 nights in a hotel on Waikiki beach, hired a car and drove around the Island.
We then got on the ship. Mostly Americans and very relaxed. The staff were all American ( they have a rule about staff as the ship does not leave American waters).
The excursions were very varied and fun. We went tubing the ditch ( 3 mile slow float along the old sugar cane waterways), rode a 4x4 quad over the Jurassic Park filming area, beautiful and went to a rum factory.
Our favourite trip was being picked up at 4.30 am, being taken to the top of a mountain to see the sun rise, then biking 28 miles down hill. Brilliant and easy riding, perfect for softies like me!
We then flew back via Las Vegas spending four nights there, before taking the flight home.
Great trip.
