Flight prices, seriously?!
Ok so I know people say dont book you flights as soon as they come out (mine are not out yet) but just made a dummy quote for the two weeks before and its coming out at 8K for 4 people economy classic with virgin 😱😱. Will I ever get £750-£800pp prices? I'm so blooming impatient😒 x x

Wait for a few weeks, perhaps even the December sale. This time of year people often feel the post holiday blues so are looking for the next trip

They do seem a lot higher right now than what people have got previously. Hopefully it’s just going to be a waiting game...

Looking for next August prices to come out and I have also done some dummy bookings and depending on date it can be anything between £1900 and £4000 for 4 adults, any thoughts on what a reasonable price would be?

They’ve just come out. It always happens. Wait a week and they’ll come down.

I paid £369 for July last year with Virgin/Delta. Need to wait for the lower prices.

As above, give it a week or two. All the airlines take advantage of the "I have to travel on these set dates" passengers when the flights are released at 330 days out. Only the higher fares are released initially - give it a week or two and they should start to drop by quite a lot.
Naughty by the airlines I know, but it is the law of supply & demand. If someone wants to nail their flights asap they will pay for the privilege. Wait a week or two and, yes, there is an element of gamble, but more than likely you'll save a lot. With regard to Virgin, remember next year is likely to be the last year of the 747's operating to Orlando. As the new A350-1000's come into the fleet to replace them, this will see approx 50-60 fewer seats per flight to MCO compared to the 747. I can see fares rising at peak times. |
