Double Tree Hilton Seaworld?

This is the hotel we have booked to stay at in September for 14 nights. Read some bad reviews about the resort view rooms so have upgraded to the tower block for an extra £250 for the 2 weeks. We like to have a fridge and in the lower class room this wasn't promised but could get one for $10 a day ($140 for the whole trip) so to be safe we upgraded.

The reviews for the lower rooms said noise was quite bad, decor was old and dated as not the whole hotel had been renovated when the main tower was.

Hopefully we should have a nice time as in 2007 when we stayed in the Ramada in Kissemee the room was away from the main hotel and we had a fridge under out sink, guessing thats not H&S compliant so I paid to upgrade, also just a shower and the room was really small and facing a walk way so couldnt have curtains open or anything.

So from past experiences I want to make sure this year, as it will be our last for a while (so the wife seems to think) as she wants a house and baby next year so this is the last trip just us. We shall see! He who earns the money shall dictate on what thoul shall spend is on!

We stayed here in 2009 and LOVED it!

Lovely rooms, pools were great and it was nice and quiet, but still easy to get up and down I-Drive.

I'd go back!

I stayed here for our Easter break. Was in the older part. Not a great room with no fridge. We has a view of the parking lot. But our room was near one of the pools and away from the bar so apart from the family who liked to come back late scraming and shouting it was quite.
Also we were right by the gate which led us to seaworld.

I think you were right to upgrade as I was dissappointed with the money I spent and the room I got. Can't fault anything else. Staff were wonderful and the pools were great too.
There is the I-trolley stop outside the hotel too and it has shuttle buses to Disney and Universal but the universal one has to booked in advance.
Overall it's a good hotel.

As you can see been there a few times LOL and tbh wouldn't go anywhere else. Never had a bad room, staff and service great as is the food. Perfect location with easy transport options if you don't want to drive.

Wow that is a bit expensive for the tower room,
Sometimes they give you them free
All the rooms had been renovated, we were there in september and had a resort room, ground floor near the main pool, we loved it, much more convenient that the tower room for us.
Our room was huge, wood effect flooring made it much more hygenic, beds were comfy,
We had a fridge, microwave, separate area with another sink, coffee maker ironing board etc, you could pull the shutter for privacy too.
Lovely hotel, would again have the resort room if we go back.

At check in I asked for a room with a safe and a fridge and was given it no problem, I believe all have safes since the renovation anyway.

Thanks for the replys!

I've emailed the hotel direct and they have upgraded me to a deluxe resort room for free so I'll save myself £250!

They did say they would do either the tower room or resort but I think I'm right in saying the resort rooms ain't as smart and don't have fridges like the deluxe resort view rooms?

I'll get out there and see what the location of room is like I resort ones, do you have to keep you curtains shut etc at all times?

weve stayed in this hotel since 2006 and love it for the past 3 years we stayed in the tower and i think all the rooms should have been revamped by now they were busy doing the last in sept last year ,ther resort rooms are lovely ,the ones we have seen,i think they should all be finished by now too,all balinese style decor ,we prefer the tower as its a little safer with an energetic 5 year old running about and the views are great, international drive one side and sewworld on the other,im sure you will love it,weve never had a bad room yet

That is exactly what we got, at reception I asked if it was possible to have a room with a safe and a fridge, the guy said no problem I will put you in a luxury resort room, it was fab,

We had a fridge, and a nice handy cupboard beside it for all our water etc, a microwave, coffee maker, ironing board, safe,
There are curtains but also sort of net curtains that give you some privacy, we always had those closed.
We were on the ground floor, there is also same rooms above I believe.
Room also had a wood effect floor , much better than carpet.
