I’m very torn, we were supposed to be going to Amsterdam this weekend, then changed it to the Northumberland coast.
It is looking like everything up there is open. We were planning on walking and going to castles etc, hard to know what to go. We have to go to supermarkets like Lidl over 3x a day currently to try and keep our food business stocked. We’d see far less people this weekend

We’re supposed to be staying in bluestone in Wales in the Easter holidays, however unlike center Parcs they are remaining open. I don’t understand how they can do that in the current situation.

We are due to go camping for ds birthday at the end of April. The campsite only has 15 pitches and they are very spaced out. The campsite is open and encouraging people to come if they want to or rebook.
It’s over a month away yet so I’m going to see how things are first.
It’s only an hour away so if we got sick we would come straight home.
Trouble is small businesses like this rely on people visiting or they will go bust. When normality returns we still want places to go back too.
It’s very tricky

We have Butlins booked for Easter and they are now closed but only offering to book again for later date and any increase cost down to us or transfer booking to Haven.
I want our money back as it's a group booking with 4 families and who knows if we will be able to arrange to all go again within the year they are giving, unfortunately it's not in my name so just have to wait for my friend to try and sort it out.

We have our Motorhome in the garden so on sunny days will go and sit in it and pretend we are on holiday. Did get a Email today from the Caravan and Motorhome Club that the majority of campsite are open but all bars and restaurants on site will be closed .

In the Lake District holiday cottage lettings are going well. I suppose people are thinking they are on their own etc. Hotels doing very little.

My own stance is that, if they are open, we will still go. I can self cater there as much as I can self cater at home. It is also only about a 40 minute drive from home (we just wanted time to chill and take the dog for a walk!), and the location is actually closer to our local hospital than our home is!

If one of us do get ill and we have to stay home, I paid the small extra sum for cancellation insurance.
make sure you clean the lodge fully before you move in as i would not be trusting the local cleaner to do this along with the other lodges.
