I bought one a few weeks ago full price. Tempted to return & reorder but seems such a waste of time.

Got my new 4th Generation echo dot show in Blue for my bedroom suite - putting the 3rd generation in guest bedroom; Love it - both the colour and shape make it easier to see the time from my bed and dressing room.

I like that they have also brought out 2 kids versions which are very cute and fun (was tempted for another room ... )

That's annoying. I've purposely been waiting for black Friday to buy stuff. If its in the sale fab! If not nothing lost.

It is a fair bet that they would have been as every year since they first launched amazon have reduced all their own goods over Black Friday sale even those gods just launched. I ordered a shed load of stuff fro my wish list over last couple of days as the prices have been slashed - got exactly what I wanted at prices I couldn’t quite frankly believe including some new dining room chairs I have had my eye on for a few weeks.

I am tempted to get some smart light bulbs but would welcome some advice as to what works well with Alexa - its a minefield to me but fancy a light changing for bed suite

I bought a Philips hue bulb, put it in the lamp next thing I know she said detect light. 👍

The other lamps e have are old so I've bought a couple of kasa smart plugs (reduced for black Friday) and will try them. They work with alexa but have thirst own app too. Not set these up yet. Similar price to a bulb but more versatile?

Alexa you can set routines for lights to come on! But a bit rubbish you have to set up another routine to turn it offagain.

You don't need the extra app for the bulb or the plug. They both work with Alexa. 😊
