Florida Escapes refund

Hi hopefully someone can give some advice. Our July 2020 holiday was cancelled and I managed to get a refund for everything except our universal tickets. I contact Florida escapes to see of we could postpone and pay and difference to 2022 but they refused saying they would only extend until 2021. I also tried my travel insurance but they also refused to cover it. Unfortunately I paid with a debit card (lesson learnt). I also attempted to email universal but not sure i had the correct email. No one ever got back to me.

I really want to go 2022 but feel now we are stuck having to go 2021, not sure when or risk loosing over £1000. Has anyone else had a similar experience but with more luck?

I would contact your bank and ask for a chargeback. I would argue that you are entitled to one because of the following:-

1. You could not travel to the USA to use the ticket(s) because of imposed travel restrictions.
2. Even if you had been able to travel, the experience you would have received versus the one advertised when you purchased the ticket(s) were not comparable. Point out some of the major differences from pre and post Covid.
