Agree with all above , date is just a guide . Unwrap it early next week and leave on a plate in the fridge , so it doesn’t sweat. Don’t forget all bacon products are cured , it will be fine . ( ex Butcher ) enjoy . 🤤🤤

I’m confused, it’s bb date is after you want to cook it, once you cook it it’s fine for 4-5 days. Or am I missing something?!

I want to cook it late Christmas Eve so we can eat it Christmas Day/Boxing Day then have it for sandwiches etc the next couple of days until its used up, so this would have taken it beyond the 26/12 date that is on it. I thought it hadn't to be eaten past the BB date? Have I been assuming wrong all these years...?

Exactly! Would not risk it with cream, yogurt etc but everything else just gets the sniff test
