Airport parking electric charge

We usually use the official valet parking at Gatwick and find it very good. However, in September we are flying from Heathrow. Also we are going to be getting an electric car. Has anyone had a company park their car and recharge ready to pick up fully charged?

Seems Heathrow is the only airport that acknowledges electric cars exist and have installed 26 chargers in T2 Short stay and 4 each in T3, T4 and T5 short stay parks.

Purple Parking offer a Meet & Greet service where they'll charge your vehicle whilst you're away. Only thing to check up on is their website mentions they use Tesla chargers although they state it'll charge other vehicles that use the Type 2 connection (so presume its a Tesla Destination charger with white sign - Red sign is Tesla only). On Zap Map, there is a BP Pulse charger at their car park but comments on that suggest staff won't charge vehicles for you whilst you're away (possibly they didn't book the meet and greet). Its a 50KW and theres a Costa next door.

What car have you gone for?

Gatwick has free (pod point, down load an app required) 7.2 Kwh chargers in their short stay car park, or so their web site states, will be using them when i check in this Oct, hopefully.

I'd personally get to Heathrow and rapid charge your car then just use an official long stay (or hotel if stating the night before), I really don't trust leaving my car with any told them!

we're just deciding. We were supposed to be going out today to look and decide but we've gone into tier 4. There are some cracking deals at the moment for i pace, EQC and audi etron through my salary sacrifice scheme. I drive max 100 -120 miles a day for work so it makes a lot of sense for me.
