Good neck pillow, ear plugs or headphones/ear phones.
Eye mask and try to get your legs up. I just put my bag under my feet if no leg rest. I can sleep pretty much anywhere though. Dh can’t sleep on a plane even when we have flown business with lie flat beds, he just accepts it now and I drive home as I’ve usually slept. |

For me it’s my legs are never comfortable so it’s impossible to sleep.
I bought a leg hammock which helps slightly but my legs ache I don’t understand how others can just sleep with their legs on the floor, wish I could! |

I take a Sturgeon Travel sickness tablet, they make me very groggy. Definitely try to get flight home as late as possible so I'm as tired as possible, so indirect an advantage here. Wear earphones and keep wrapped in the blanket so warm. I can never get comfy though but do atleast nap a lot.

Mate who does 60 flights a year used to do it years back who travels the world with work mostly solo...
He stopped doing it after having a sleeping tablet when boarding a 12 hour flight and then the aircraft going tech before takeoff. Had to go back to the gate and then was in no fit state to fight the sleeping when he had to go to the desk to rearrange a new flight home, in the end he fell alsleep in the queue and woke up 6 hours later in the airport passenger wellbeing suite with no clue... Passport, wallet and cash all untouched fortunately. About 10 years before.. he did it the flight got diverted due to a medical incident and he had no clue.. He only realised when he woke up and still had 4 hours to go and but didn't understand why as they were due to land 6 hours before... They had touched down in the far east, off loaded the medical pax and retook off all while he was asleep. He's learnt his lesson..

Simple;
Don't start packing until around 10-11 pm the night before Just grab an hour or two's sleep before getting up at stupid o'clock Drive to the airport far earlier than you really need to, just in case Get on the plane and because you haven't really seen your bed for more than an hour or two in the past 48, out like a light zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Works for me every year

deffo noise cancelling headphones,i use bose,what a world of difference it makes,you will know what i mean if you use them and take them off half way through the flight,your like wow how noisy is it,worth every penny

Can agree with the noise cancelling headphones. I don't have Bose but the £50 Anker ones I have are great and my wife swears by her Sony headphones.

I don't enjoy flying but do it because I'd never get anywhere otherwise but I would love to be able to sleep on those damn flights. Don't sleep well at all , not even at home so I've no hope!
