All State schools and colleges have the opportunity to send 2 pupils a year to visit Auschwitz with the Holocaust Educational Trust as well as listen to the testimony of a survivor. They then share their experiences with the wider school.

VE Day: Never give up hope says Auschwitz survivor.

bbc/news/uk-wales-52577880

Mady Gerrard who lives in Monmouthshire said she "hates with a passion" the social distancing rules keeping us all indoors during the coronavirus pandemic.

"Don't give up hope. Just keep on trucking. What can you do?

What a Lady.

Both our fathers were not in Europe so the war for them did not end until August so hope we will also remember those who were still fighting in the Far East. To the day he died my godfather still had the shrapnel in his body from being shot whilst not working quickly enough on the Burma railway.

It was certainly an experience. Went to both Aushwitz and Birkenau, just so unbelieveable and humbling at the same time. It is well worth a visit to remind everyone what happened and hopefully make sure history will stop and not repeat itself.

I don't think they do appreciate it.

How many whining about lockdown, others getting paid to be at home, not being able to exercise.

Anchovies - lovely in olive oil and garlic, melt into pasta sauces and great addition to pizza. Yum yum.

My brother reminded me today of this picture of our uncle killed at Dunkirk May 1940 aged 20 years old. Despatch rider - Green Howard’s . Sniper killed him as he rode from the front line to Dunkirk. We remember him today.

Definitely not but do think they should bring back national service. Might sort a few out who think they own the world.

And definitely not🤬🤬

Probably no.
Love anchovies especially fresh (and sardines) on the bbq. They go well with gherkins! 😂

I visited a few years back and found it so emotional. Mans inhumanity towards man.
