Setting up a website with Wordpress

Is anyone an expert using Wordpress to create a website?

I'm finding it so difficult to use!

I know what I want to do but can't move things around, can't edit images, can't resize my logo, can't change my font... Ahhhhh!

Can anyone help?

Thank you

A lot of the things you describe, depend on the theme you're using! Some themes offer drag n drop, logo resizing, etc... and some themes don't. Wordpress in general is definitely not a drag and drop type of building tool, not out of the box anyway. Do you know the name/link of the theme you currently have active?

Oh gosh, I don't know. Something wants me to say Helvert or something like that but might have made it up.

Is there a web builder easier to use?

Wordpress is quite straightforward if you can get a good template. Remember it is meant for a blog type website.
You will just need to play around with different themes. It’s free so there will always be certain limitations.

Sounds like you may be better off with a simple site builder instead of using Wordpress. It all comes down to what the site is to be used for, and how much time you're wanting to invest into it

Building a Wordpress website isn't particularly easy, in my experience. I use Divi (requires a subscription), which makes it easier, but it's still not straight forward, especially if you've never had any website building experience before. You'd be better off with something like Wix or Squarespace. If SEO is important, then I believe Squarespace is better for this. My husband started building a free Wix site a couple of days ago, and after choosing one of the free templates, he's found it very easy and has no previous experience at all.
