Mobile Port Orleans Riverside Room Categories

Just browsing on the Disneyworld website (as you do &#128514 and realised they have changed the room categories since the last time we stayed there.

So if I was to book a garden view room (not with 5th sleeper) then am I correct in thinking the room would be in one of the Magnolia Bend mansion buildings rather than in Alligator Bayou, as they don’t have a 5th sleeper bed?

We’ve stayed there twice before, once in Magnolia Bend and once in Alligator Bayou and much preferred the mansions section.

Thanks for any help

I would of thought the garden view room was anywhere over looking the back of the resort then the pool view and the river view would be the bigger rooms over other side of river.

Yes your assumption is correct. You would be in Magnolia Bend.

This isn’t right. All of the rooms are exactly the same size across the resort for a start. Then there are rooms with a 5th sleeper. Some of those will also be certain views. There are preferred rooms. All with a fifth sleeper in Alligator Bayou. Then pool rooms and water view rooms in both areas. The fifth sleeper rooms are now a separate category plus the view description. Very complex!

There are garden view rooms in alligator bayou, booking this room type does not guarantee you the mansion buildings.
Obviously Disney have to put 5 family members in the AB rooms due to the 5th sleeper day bed, but they can still allocate you to the AB area as a family of 4 in a garden view.

We prefer mansions as well and always ask to be in magnolia bend when we check in. Both previous trips we have had our request accommodated so you’ll have to ask nicely at the check in desk 🙏

When we last visited 2 years ago , we were allocated our room in AB , even though only the 2 of us.
Previous visit always had the Mansions
