Has anyone had the last 25% refunded?

It has now been exactly a month since our Easter trip was cancelled. We received the automatic refund of c.75% of the booking. Has anyone actually received the mysterious last 25% from Disney?

I have seen lots of stories about manual processing and anything up to 8 weeks, but it only takes them 5 minutes to "manually process" the payment when we book and there are plenty of other travel companies (even Eurostar ! ) who have now managed to make full refunds.

Anyone actually received it, yet?

Was the 25% the initial deposit? Could that have been returned to a different account/card if that was used? They did tell me the payments will come through to the card/account that was used and be refunded in the same way the payments were made, i.e. not a lump sum if you paid in instalments.

No, it was a straight booking through DLP's website, all paid up front on the day on one card. I think they are just hanging on to anyone's money who doesn't kick up a fuss for as long as they can...

Spoken to them again this morning as we have had zero contact for over a month, now. Cast member said that it will probably be at least another month, didn't even bother taking my booking reference as there was nothing she could do, anyway.

I am sorry Disney. I am your biggest fan (see my previous trips!) but this is simply not good enough...….

You have thousands of staff from hotels and parks that are currently not gainfully employed and the suggestion is that there is only a handful of staff handling tens of thousands of refunds. I cannot believe that some of the cast members could not be re-trained to handle this customer mess... but I guess all the time you have my money you don't have to borrow it from somewhere else.

As I said to the cast member on the phone (I was polite... ) if I had turned up last week and said "...I'll pay you the rest at some point later", you wouldn't have let me into the park. How is it fair the other way around?

I did the online cancellation form and heard nothing for a month. Called today, waited 15 minutes on the line, told it hadn’t been cancelled yet, she cancelled, receive full refund within 14 days. Even got an automatic cancellation invoice sent to my email.

I cancelled with DLP direct through the website in March as we were due to travel at the beginning of April. Received around 75% within a few days but nothing since and no cancellation invoice... The amount remaining is more than the initial deposit. Which number are you all calling please as the line I called was closed...

≈I called this number 0800 169 0737‬ as it was the Disney travel company invoice.

I think it was option 2 for existing bookings and held to speak to an operator and gave my booking reference number and sorted. My trip wasn’t until May half term though.

I’ve had about 75% back. The lady I spoke to originally did say it might take 6 weeks (or thereabouts) as different departments get involved.

Thanks so much. We booked through the Disneyland Paris website - were you with them or Disney Holidays? Completely understand if it takes a few weeks but just want to know we will receive it
