I have the shark cordless with 2 batteries best vacuum ever, my DiL has a Dyson but is constantly borrowing mine, I did offer to buy her one for Christmas but she declined, she loves it but didn't want to sacrifice other pressie's for a new vacuum.

You can have my Dyson. Awful build quality and hair tangles the brush far to easily

I got the Shark DuoClean Corded Stick Vacuum Cleaner a year ago and love it. It does need emptying each time I use it but it’s great for hard floors and carpets. My mum got the cordless version with just the one battery and she’s been really pleased with hers too.
