finding old posts

I joined the Dibb in April 2005, can't believe where the time has gone.

been looking back on my posts I can only find them from 2013 am I doing something wrong?.

would be a lot of storage/costs to keep everything indefinably

A quick look is it's down to the number of your posts not how far back they go.

A heavy poster will not go that far back as they exceed the storage capability for them as a user.

A very light user can go back to when they joined which could be 2006 for example.

At least that's what I am seeing as I found a person on here who has been a member for 12 years but only posted about 10 times.

Edit. Found it! When you get to 25 pages of your posts then they start to drop off.

Search is limited to returning 1000 results

If you just search for your posts it will only show the latest 1000 posts that you have made.

If you want to see posts earlier than the 1000 then use the Advanced Search and select a certain forum to search. That way it will return the last 1000 posts that match the search criteria.

You can also add keywords to narrow down further.
