My dd seems excited to be going, she also has friends on the same course film studies. I have a feeling when it’s time to go anxiety will kick in as she takes after me in that respect. If she gets Covid we will be bringing her home, I’m not having her Miles away and Ill. She has a place at Southampton and there’s talk about online courses and part time at the uni.

Strangely it is a lower offer than the one from Durham (OX AAA, DHM A*AA)
That’s great my dd applied for Oxford but was rejected sadly. The Durham offer is A*A*A for my dd as she took her Maths A level last year she only needs A* A to be accepted.
I hope the grades will be what they all need to progress. Congratulations on Oxford an amazing achievement to receive an offer you must be very proud.

That’s wonderful that she is excited to go. My dd has been on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster with it. She felt initially that uni wasn’t going to happen for them this year and I felt like she had given up. She is more positive now and seems determined to go whatever the circumstances. I think I am the one who is more worried now !
It’s lovely that your daughter knows people on the course that must really help. Best of luck with everything.

Thank you and good luck to your daughter to, I will miss my dd so much, she’s the youngest and is 18 in August and seems so young.

DD feeling the same. She’s off to Liverpool hopefully. I’m anxious too but trying not to show it!

I’m pleased I’m not the only anxious one. My youngest dd jokes that she is going with her sister to uni, because staying at home with me missing the eldest would be a nightmare! I have told the eldest she can only do a three year course because then she will come home when the youngest goes off to uni. Anyone getting the feeling that I’m not good at letting go.
