August 2020 - whats a realistic budget

Hi,

Probably been covered so apologies if it has!

Been to WDW 3 times, but first time in school holidays. We are 2A + 2C, although youngest is 2 so won't need to pay for tickets, meals etc.

2 weeks end of august flying from london (direct), including meal plan and tickets, is £10k a realistic target? Hoping to stay in a moderate or deluxe resort - no car hire needed.

Obvs quite early and only a few carriers released flight prices, so wondering whether the prices will come down either in april if/when free dining plan is announced, or if I should wait either way til Sept/Oct to book a package.

Usually go package route FYI with Charter, they usually come out good value.

We've been a few times, our last time in Feb 2016, and that was our first onsite stay.

Our plan was to go back in the school hols August 2020, and I can't seem to get everything I want for less than about £9k.
I'm looking at 10 nights onsite with free dining, 6/7 nights off site to do universal/SeaWorld.
Direct flights from Manchester, 2 adults, 2 children.
I've been emailed a rough quote this morning from ocean Florida and that's come in at £6264, but that's flying from Heathrow. With 10 nights at CBR and 7 nights at Avanti.

We'd still have to add theme park tickets onto that, so probably around another £3k ish for Disney & universal and SeaWorld.

I think we might have just been priced out of Orlando 😞

I think prices will come down. best quotes i got were from Tui and holidayfloridas for just over £10k (10.1 maybe) for old key west, 14 night, paying for standard dining plan (hopefully free next month hence i didnt book) including 14 day tickets. Although that isn't available on Tui anymore. I'm confident prices will come down, it's very early still and they're banking on impatient people keen to get it booked up. I'd probably only bite with a real good deal, else makes sense to wait if free dining will be offered.

obviously dining plan and ticket costs don't apply to my youngest. Was offered Animal Kingdom Lodge for 10.8k which I've stayed at twice and is fantastic.

I think next year is going to be expensive (we're looking for next summer too). I've just put in your approx. dates into WDW booking and AKL will be £6k for 2 weeks and tickets. Although you won't have to pay for food, you will have tips to add on. You might be best to book your hotel stay and wait for flights at a price you're prepared to pay. Also might be worth looking at Tampa as it's not that far to the Disney side of Orlando and do a one day one way car hire. If you can get some cheap flights the savings may be worth it.

True. Reckon I'll wait til next month to see about dining, then try Ocean or Charter. Good tip about the flights, will have a look.

Guessing tampa flights will be available to look at in September?

Try My Magic Holidays too as they are Disney specialist who can offer great deals. Lots of Dibbers have booked with them and been very happy. They do get really busy when free dining is released, so you may want to call now to register your interest

They'll also let you book free dining, then add flights once they're released to create a package. Or, they can offer full packages to start with including flights. They're very flexible.

Thanks loves2plan will try that too. Thomas cook coming out at 10.3k at POFQ including dining and tickets, again not too bad, riverside was good when we stayed there. I'm confident in time this trip will be less than £10k.

You need to call My Magic Holidays rather than email. Mattie is the main guy, and he's also on here too. They can pretty much beat and TC quote, so definitely worth a try

I just find it all galling as I got such a great deal when we went in 2016 (14 nights at beach club, DDP (free), tickets and flights family of 4 for £7.5K). I know we're not going to get anywhere near this, but my husband thinks we will
