Mobile Arrived home from NYC yesterday... Amazing

We arrived home yesterday after a week in the big apple. We've been before but first time taking the kids 17,13 & 9.
I have always wanted to go Christmas time and must say it succeeded all my expectations.
We walked over 22k steps a day which is good going for a 9yr old.
Thanksgiving parade was amazing we celebrated by having dinner at Hard Rock time square. Black Friday at Macy's was madness. Highlight was visiting Santa at Macy's and seeing Central park in snow. We seen and done everything we wanted except go ice skating (promised dd9 since booking), the rinks were closed on our last 2 days due to the snow. I feel so guilty we didn't go earlier in holiday.
We managed to visit
One World Observatory ,
Statten Island Ferry to see SOL,
Wall St, Raging Bull,
Empire State,Rockefeller,
Grand Cental,
The Vessel,Central Park,Imagine
Dakota buildings
Plaza hotel for coffee and pastries,Trump Tower to warm up and have a hot chocolate,
Time square, Saks 5th Avenue (Frozen window displays and Christmas lights), Tiffany's,
High line, Ground Zero, Macy's parade,Ghostbusters building, Dumbo, Brooklyn bridge as well as all the shopping we done.

Flying home was a pain stuck on plane on runway for 3hrs waiting in queue for plane to be de iced, we made up time in air but still arrived 2.5hrs late, over 100 people missed connecting flights.
I thoroughly recommend going this time of year the Christmas lights are amazing, such a Christmassy feel. It is very expensive though so be prepared,we spent close on $500 our first day this included €170 for subway tickets for 5 of us, €200 for One word tickets, €58 for a quick Burger king meal,€25 on hot chocolate at Starbucks, €15 for 3 pretzels to share 😯

We loved every single minute and have all agreed was one of our favourite holidays ever.

Thanks for reading

Whereabouts did you stay ?

I love NY. I visited our Wall St office several times and always took some time off for sight seeing & shopping. Fab place.

We have friends in Brooklyn, so they very kindly give us their apartment for the week as they went away for Thanksgiving

Wow, looks amazing. I really want to do this, but I was worried about it being hectic with the children. How did they cope with it all. Mine would be 9&8 next year and I'm wondering if it would be too much for them

My dd has just turned 9 and coped so much better than we thought.
She had a fit bit for her birthday and was chuffed to see the steps she was racking up lol. We used subway to get around and was told 2 days into holiday that children didn't need to pay. We had bought a weekly pass for us all so was a bit late.
Was extremely busy on Thanksgiving morning but away from parade it was fine, black friday was crazy,we had pre booked Santa in Macy's and only waited a few minutes to get in. We all loved central park and visited twice,so beautiful there especially when it started snowing. The lights are amazing especially Saks 5th avenue,Frozen theme was superb, reminded me of the light display at Magic kingdom. I'm sure your children will love it.
