Any airport workers can answer?
Can anyone confirm that everyday at our main airports we are still having flights arrive full of passengers, and no checks on health when they do.?
Many people asking on social media, lots saying yes they are arriving etc. Can anyone confirm one way or another.

No there aren't. From one airports FAQ's
Public Health England (PHE) is the UK Government’s lead agency on Coronavirus. LLA is implementing all their latest guidance. PHE have implemented a number of measures including early warning of illnesses on flights and a UK wide public information campaign, but PHE do not believe temperature checks are an effective way of keeping the public safe. Guidance as I understand it is that anyone returning to the UK should self isolate on arrival back to the UK |

My mate and his Mrs flew home from Kuwait on a repatriation flight on monday, arrived at Heathrow no checks / no actual advise to quarantine/letter/guidance etc. straight out into a hire car & drove home to Northumberland
they are currently self isolating for 14 days |

We also arrived back from Miami to Heathrow T3 on Wednesday 25th there was no health checks.
Our son is an engineer at T5, and at the moment he just strip off as soon as he get through the door at home. I will ask him to let us know if things change at Heathrow. Melvin and Lesley

Aberdeen Heliport is checking temps . DH had a long list of questions to answer prior to leaving home. The platform he's on is taking it seriously. I think he's "safer" there than a trip to the supermarket. The airports need to follow with temp checks.

Temperature checks are not an effective means of control. Many people will have covid and not have a temperature and many people will have a temperature but not have covid. It makes people feel as though something is being done when in fact it is doing very little. If everyone is doing as they are told and staying in unless absolutely necessary then the risk is much reduced.
I work in an essential industry and anyone returning from overseas must self isolate for 14 days before returning to work |

but one of the two symptons listed on 111 still is a high temperature?
nhs.uk/conditions/corona...o-do/#symptoms surely as there is arriving in the UAE thermal imaging being used to maybe select those for further checks etc |

It's utter madness, whilst the country is in lockdown, hundreds of potentially infected people are arriving unchecked 😡 makes no sense whatsoever

Do not leave your home if you have either:
a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature) a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual) yes, but it does not mean COVID 19 and would mean having to test everyone and when we do not have enough testing it'd for frontline staff testing everyone coming in is not going to happen I t |
