I've just made a list for my friend of serial killer / police procedural authors that I'm working my way through their series and grab when there's a new one out.
MW Craven
Rob Ashman
Angela Marsons
Chris Carter
Tony Forder
Rachel Abbott
Andrew Barrett
Elly Griffiths
Cecilia Peartree (more cosy than gory)

I don't think I've paid more than £2 for any of them on Kindle.
I pop the authors into ereaderiq and get an email on any price drop
I'm a member of UK Crime Book Club on Facebook and am picking up a book a few times a week from recommendations.

I love the JD Robb "In Death" books... over 50 of them now.

Thank you. I had not heard of most of the authors on your list. I checked, joined Kindle unlimited, and have nowdownloaded 10 books from your list. I started the Rob Ashman book Killing Pretties and enjoying it. Thank you

Have you read the Tattooist of Auschwitz? That’s really good.

As others have suggested the Tattooist of Auschwitz is excellent. I’ve also recently enjoyed reading the Beekeeper of Aleppo.

If you like, or think you might like American murder forensic fiction, I suggest the following:

Karin Slaughter
Kathy Reichs (the Bones series)
Tess Gerritsen
Patricia Cornwell
Robin Cook (US author not the late MP)

One of my favourite-ever books is a difficult & stark read but might interest those of you reading the Librarian / Tattooist of Auschwitz books.

“One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich” by Alexander Solzhenitsyn is fiction but very closely based on the truth of Stalin’s gulags after WW2. It’s a very short book but takes a while to read, as every word is meaningful (if you know what I mean).

I’m currently half way through ‘The Help’ by Kathryn Stockett. Very good and certainly thought provoking.
