Free DDP 23rd April-share your quotes here so we can all help each other!

Iv had two advance quotes for August 16th-30th 2016 2 adults 2 children
10 nights wilderness lodge, free dining, disney 14 day tickets
4 nights hard rock hotel
Universal tickets
Direct flights
Transfers
Gift card $200

virgins quote just under 9k
Thomas cooks quote 13k!

Bearing in mind we had pretty much the same booked last year apart from 2 nights less at disney and at hard rock instead but same time of year it was £7200 for the whole package

So I'm panicking abit. We had budgeted 8k

Exchange rate won't be helping you either.

They both seem really expensive to me. 10 nights at Wilderness Lodge in a standard room from 16th August plus Disney tickets (have priced your children as 10+) would be £3518 direct with Disney (based on current prices which don't tend to change much when free dining comes out). So, that means that they're quoting either £5482 or £9482 for flights, 4 nights at HRH and Universal tickets. Definitely think you can get it cheaper than that.

Thanks that's my thoughts too! 13k is laughable £8800 is still very high if we can get it under 8k we will book it I can't face DIY this time!

Kenwood Travel have quoted me:
2a 1c (aged 12). Flying Manchester - Orlando
11 nights @ Cabana bay beach resort
12 nights @ POR with free dining and 14 day disney ticket £5915.

Better than the thomas cook advisor who told me I couldn't have 23 nights despite being able to book flights for that from their website!

Ok here's mine

NB We can currently get 9% off vouchers for house of Fraser and debenhams to pay off Virgin holidays and 5% off Thomas Cook vouchers. The figures in brackets after their quotes are what it'll cost us using the discount on the balance but not the deposit.

15/08/16 2ad 1ch (6)
14nts AKL, 14 day ultimates, free ddp
4nt cruise Disney Dream cat 4d family balcony
2nts HRH, 3park bonus tickets

Virgin holidays £10193 (£9383.63)
Thomas Cook £9775.50 (£9309.60)
DIY (with Thomas Cook flights) £9348.79

12/08/2015
14nts AKL, 14 day ultimates, free ddp
3nt cruise Disney Dream cat 4d family balcony
2nts HRH, 3park bonus tickets

Virgin holidays £9994 (£9202.54)
Thomas Cook £9975 (£9499.13)
DIY (with Thomas Cook flights) £9332.69

The guy in Virgin said that if I can wait until next Thursday he should be able to offer us a discount of £400/£500 as were silver flying club members. But that we'd have to pay the deposit on the day. If he can do that we'll be booking with them as it'll be cheaper than DIY. Even if he can't I don't think there's enough difference for me to bother with DIY as we're likely to go for the 15th and there's not much in the prices.

I'm hoping that once they add a discount it'll come in under £9000 using our discounts on vouchers. I might ask if it's possible to pay a lower deposit initially to then get vouchers to pay the rest of the deposit as it'll save us a bit more.

I'm going to ask them to throw in vroom as well, don't know if they'll do it but don't ask don't get!
