Lanterns, Chester zoo

We went to Chester zoo this evening, to see the lanterns, and have to say they were the best yet. It was well organised, when we went in at 5.45 there were no queues, there were a lot less people there, usually stood shoulder to shoulder, not this year. We should have gone in November when we were on firebreak, but were offered tonight instead. Was a bit wary, at first, because we haven’t been out for ages, so glad we went and had a lovely time

We took the grandchildren last November, they loved it! It’s so very well done isn’t it!
I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, it’s well worth the money!

Yes, we really wanted to go, so glad we got the new date. It was really special last night, the actors really interacted with the children, a snow machine, a rainbow bridge and the best Father Christmas aswell, it was sooo good, and it wasn’t cold. Chester zoo really pulled out the stops, well done them.

Just to say, no one was given a lantern to carry round because of covid, but I was never a fan, always frightened of being poked in the eye ha ha
