September holiday for a 1 year old

So it's been a while and alas I have no disney holiday planned 😭 but I really want to find some sun in September.

By then our son will be one and I wondered if you lovely dibbers could suggest some potential places/resorts to get me started!

Ideally somewhere that no more than a few hours of flying, I don't think I'm up to planning anything long haul just yet!

thanks!

Our son and daughter in law are going to Menorca in May with their children the youngest will be 17 months.
It’s only around a 2 hour flight so it’s a test to see how she takes to flying before they try further away.

I’d recommend the Algarve - it warm but not overly so at that time of year, plenty of resorts with toddler geared facilities, great beaches and lots of charm/ things to do outside of resorts and usually quiet in September (but I think most places are compared to WDW 😂 )Only thing to consider is transfers after flight so an area like Albufeira might be better as not too far away from Faro airport compared to Praia da Rocha.

costa teguise In lanzarote might also be worth considering but flight is roughly 4hrs

No advice but totally missed the memo that Team Hannikins had expanded. Congratulations!

We always went to the costa del sol when ours were babies/toddlers. Staying in the Mijas area, beautiful beaches and good weather early September, plus a short flight.
