Gun range recommendations

Hi all

We go August this year and it’s my other half’s birthday in Feb I’m wanting to get him a voucher to go to a gun range on one of our free days, we’re staying on site with a car but don’t want to travel to far, can anyone recommend anywhere ?

My sister and her boyfriend just visited and I bought them a gift card for this range. They loved it.

One of the best is floridafirearms adventure though it is a bit of a trek out so may not suit your needs. It last a few hours and is really well supervised you get to try several different guns on different target types and it is a real experience day rather than a here's a gun shot it over in ten mins type of place

Another vote for Florida firearms adventure but like others have said it is a fair drive.

My DS21 and DB24 went and had an amazing time . .they can't wait to go back in June.

On the day they went it was just the 2 of them and the guy running the place. They got to shoot a whole range of firearms at various targets ad got plenty of ammo each. It really is in a beautiful setting in the middle of miles and miles of orange groves.

Our plan was for me to drop the 2 lads off and for them to get an UBER back - we had roughly prices it up beforehand and looked to be around $60. When we got there we realised that wasn't going to be possible as it really is in the middle of nowhere so we had to change our plans and go back and collect them later So be prepared for that.

Another vote for floridafirearmsadventure, it is a good drive, but a great experience.
Had a great day with Don, very nice guy.
It took about 1 hr 20 mins or so to get there, but worth the trip.
Took my 15 year old son, better than video games.

Another vote for Orlando Gun club. Incredibly fun afternoon, shot multiple handguns, rifles and shotguns. They have fully automatic rifles but you go through an entire clip in 1 or 2 seconds, fun but expensive on ammo. The price depends on how many rounds you chose to fire, there's a set price for the range and you can swap which gun you use easily. A very quick lesson in gun safety then you're left alone to shoot away. Targets cost about $1 each and I still have 2 of them framed on my wall at home. Think we spent about $150 dollars for the 2 of us, but we were there for a while.

Remember thought to take your passports with you, they also do not allow single people to shoot as walk ins, at least 2 adults need to be there at all times, I took my teenage son with me to shoot but my wife had to be present too, she just sat in the viewing area and watched. The gun clubs in america used to have a problem with suicides so this is their way of trying to stop this happening at the ranges.

We had a great day at Florida Firearms Adventure. As the others have commented, it's a bit of a trek, but worth it. It was just the three of us and we got to fire so many guns, I'd go again.
