UK and US airlines have issued a rare joint request for a summit on restarting trans atlantic flights. This is requested ahead of the G7 summit. Full article here: google/amp/s/simplef...-corridor/amp/

Something is brewing and to see both UK and US airlines jointly present to both the UK and US governments is a real shot in the arm. Pressure to re-open is firmly building. I don't think it will be long at all now.
Yes Ive read this too. Any pressure in the governments can only be a good thing, accepted it may not carry any bearing on any imminent outcome.
I tend to avoid posting anything that I personally find positive news on the ‘current issue’ forum- as I’ve seen many positive posts met with a negative slant so I head over here to the optimistic crew instead 😂

I should be posting this in the July section 🤣 but we're due to fly on the 26th of July, which is almost August... but I tell you, if we get confirmation at some point soon of a UK US travel corridor we'll be popping a bottle of fizzy to celebrate 🍾😉

We'll then be able to get officially excited 😆

Us too! 20th July to 12th August. Everything crossed and if/when we get the go ahead I will definitely be celebrating 🍾!

Us too! 23/7 to 15/8.

I really would like to know sooner rather than later.

I’m another that has a foot in the July and August camp - we’re hopefully 17 July to 4 August.

Wolf - I thought your post was positive and I agree that anything that sounds even remotely positive on the current virus issues forum is repackaged and over-analysed to the point that some try and convinced you that you’ll never travel again 😖

There are some great bits in that forum... but I’m much more selective with what I read on there now. The planning threads are where it’s at 😎

Can’t wait until the current issues forum is no longer needed. Hopefully, soon. 🤞🏻
