How to change pick up time?

I've booked a package with BA that includes car hire with Avis. BA have changed my flight times so I now arrive 2 hrs earlier, but my car hire is still showing pick up at original time. Will it matter if I rock up early or is there a way I can change it. I've tried contacting BA but they were not particularly helpful as I'm sure they are rather pre occupied currently.
I am registered with Avis preferred but this is my first booking with them.

Hi. No need to change the time as Airport locations are used to people arriving early, late or even not at all!.

The thing to remember is the clock starts as you exit the barrier and you must be back before that time at the end of the rental period.

Fabulous, very reassuring, thanks for such a quick reply too. Since yesterday's news I'm now in frantic planning mode.

Quick question - do you happen to know if Hertz will hold a car if I collect it a day late? Our flights have changed, but to alter the car hire it states they are sold out and other companies are £600 more than I paid.

I guessed, so - thanks for the reply. I will wait to make sure the schedule doesn't change with Virgin then give Hertz a ring to see what our options are.
