I’m glad the Christmas piñata went down well I wondered if you’d used it

He absolutely loved it. I filled it with party bag fillers like rubber snakes, bouncy balls, mini dinosaurs etc because he couldn’t eat last Christmas. It definitely took his mind off chocolates 😊😊

I still use the NORAD website. I love it!

We used to get letters from Santa sent and sprinkle “fairy dust” outside to make it easier for Rudolph to find us -(it was glitter to start with now you can buy it ready made in Home Bargains)
I also collect Zwaroski yearly decorations - started when I was pregnant- they go in his stocking as a magic star.!
We still sprinkle the dust now lol

We have no chimney in our house so always had ‘the magic key’. It’s is a beautiful ornate large metal key on a red velvet ribbon and when the kids were little they would hang it on the outside of the front door for Santa. They would always be so excited when they came downstairs on Christmas morning to find the mince pie gone, the champagne drunk (our Santa is very discerning &#128514 and the end from Rudolph’s carrot left on the hall table along with the magic key.🥰 If I tried to get the kids to hang it on the door now I would just get ‘don’t be ridiculous Mum🙄🙄’.

I always leave big boot prints from the sack to the chimney and an occasional potato print hoof print has been found along with nawed on carrots. Always sprinkle our reindeer dust and last year I went to a haberdashery and got a big gold button, snaggled some thread on it and left it dangling on the chimney..It was noticed after all the initial excitement and was a very special moment 😍

There are some lovely ideas on here. I hope our kids go on to do the same traditions for theirs. It’s how lovely memories happen x

Chewed up bits of carrot on the decking that fell of the roof.

I also bought magic snow and made some and sprinkled it on our fireplace, it lasted well until morning 🥕 ❄️
