I don't journal (nor do I follow a religion) but I do make a point in each day to be thankful for the good things, people, events etc. I find it helps to put life in perspective.

I know yoga is perceived by some to be a bit hippy dippy but it really helps me.

Yes I have used a gratitude journal for several years. I keep it very simple and every night I wrote down 3 things that I am thankful for/went well etc.

It could be anything from a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake, blue sky, chat with a friend, good day at work, nice dinner.

It really does help put things in perspective. No day is bad as you think it is when you can find small positives in it.

Yes, I keep a little book beside my bed and write three little things to be grateful /thankful for each evening. I love looking back over the years too, it definitely helps me keep positive.

I write anything and everything in it, "scraps of yellow ribbon" the other day, even just things like sunny days, or biscuits!

Even after a bad day I sometimes write "bad days" or whatever it is, as they help me appreciate the good days!

I think it would make me feel vulnerable, show what I could lose.

I write a journal of the things I’m grateful for, but I write the same things in it daily.

I’m grateful for:

Chunky Kitkats
Oyster Bay Merlot
Jennifer Lawrence wearing a bikini

Sue I have been thinking about this as i was doing the hoovering and realise for me (and I appreciate we are all different) I l was more upset and vunerable when i lost something that I hadn't fully appreciated having.

So for me the gratitude helps me appreciate things that before passed me by until they were gone

Yes in covid last year I started the 6 minute diary. If you do it routinely I think it’s a great tool.
