Domestic connection- when will all the checks be done?
Flying with BA from Belfast city airport to Heathrow which arrives at 1015 and then onward to MCO which departs at 1205. Both flights are terminal 5.
I'm wondering will all the Covid related checks be carried out for our MCO flight at check-in at Belfast or will that happen at Heathrow as we would be pushed for time. |

All checks will be completed at Belfast.
Presume your checking baggage all the way through, boarding passes will be issued at Belfast for both flights. |

Im aberdeen Heathrow and onto Mco, I’m presuming it will all get checked at aberdeen (Belfast for yourself) however I would keep everything at hand just incase we’re asked again at Heathrow - I have a folder already organised with everything 🤓

Thanks for the info.
It's a flights and hotel package with BA all under the one booking reference so I'm guessing our bags will be checked in at Belfast and we won't see them until we get to MCO. It's our first trip anywhere that involves connections so all a bit of a learning curve for us. |

I also wondered about this. We are Edi-Lhr-Mco. I’m assuming tests will need to be within 48 hrs of flight, but is that the Edi flight (0750) or the lhr flight (1205) ?
(I suspect I’m over thinking this!)

The checks are to be done for boarding the US bound flights so you'll probably be called to reshow the details during the boarding process

I flew from Edinburgh to the US via LHR in July. Single booking made with BA BUT the transatlantic leg was operated by AA.
Everything was checked in Edinburgh, but there was an announcement at the gate in LHR for everyone who connected into LHR to come to the desk for a re-check before boarding. I’m relatively sure this would because there were 2 different airlines involved though, had it been a BA flight I’m sure they would have trusted their own Edinburgh staff to have checked. |
